Chiltern IVC
About The Intervarsity Movement (IVC)
The first intervarsity club was formed in May 1946 by two Cambridge University undergraduates, Michael Wolff and Reggie Simeone. On leaving University and moving to a new base, they wanted a way of meeting like-minded people in their new life. The Intervarsity Movement was set up to provide a social network for new graduates away from university life.

The Association of Intervarsity Clubs (AIVC) was formed in the 1960's to promote inter-club liaisons and club development in general.

The club now consists of 47 clubs ranging from Exeter and Kent in the South to Dundee in the North. In all it has over 5000 members.

About Chiltern IVC
Chiltern IVC was formed in January 1995 by a group of older Herts and Beds IVC members to cater for the over 35 age group. It was intended to be a natural progression from the Herts and Beds club which had always sought to cater for younger people.

Although our target age group for members is 35 to 55, there is no upper or lower age limit.

Chiltern IVC is not a Dating Agency, and is not run for profit!

We are a friendly and informal club for both single people and couples offering a variety of social and cultural activities for graduates, professionals and like-minded people. Events are organized by members, for members and published in a monthly bulletin.

Our subscriptions are currently £ 20 for a single and £ 30 for a couple.
